To give your cast iron products an even better appearance and extend their lifespan, you can have your product powder coated in any RAL colour.
Method:
Blasting
Blasting is an effective way to remove rust, old layers of paint and deposits. During blasting, a stream of (abrasive) grains is sprayed onto the object under high pressure. These grains remove the rust, layers of paint or deposits deep into the pores. This thoroughly cleans the surface and creates a base for a long-lasting protective coating. After blasting, the surface treatment can be started immediately.
Powder coating
Powder coating is a painting process that uses positively charged powder coating and a negatively charged workpiece. The powder coating is melted in an oven, leaving a beautiful, even layer of paint. In combination with a pre-treatment such as blasting, powder coating offers very durable protection against corrosion, is moisture-resistant and therefore highly resistant to extreme weather conditions.
RAL colours
RAL is a European colour matching system that defines colours for paint, coatings and plastics. RAL Classic is the best known and most used system. The RAL Design and RAL Effect collections offer more colour variations. On this website you will find all available RAL colours. The RAL standard is managed by the RAL Deutsches Institut für Gütesicherung und Kennzeichnung.
